No limits, anyone who reblogs this gets the track list messaged to them. Will do every. every. single. person.
Interesting. I will be on the look out. Thanks - Angel
In the Hall of the Mountain King (Peer Gynt) by Edvard Grieg
- a intro to classic music -
The simple theme begins slowly and quietly in the lowest registers of the orchestra, played first by the cellos, double basses and bassoons. After being stated, the main theme is then very slightly modified with a few different ascending notes, but transposed up a perfect fifth (to the key of F-sharp major, the dominant key, but with flattened sixth) and played on different instruments.
The two groups of instruments then move in and out of different octaves until eventually “colliding” with each other at the same pitch. The tempo gradually speeds up to a prestissimo finale, and the music itself becomes increasingly loud and frenetic. (wiki)
“If we knew what it was we were doing, it would not be called research, would it?”
“Never memorize something that you can look up.”
“Learn from yesterday, live for today, hope for tomorrow. The important thing is to not stop questioning.”
“The only reason for time is so that everything doesn’t happen at once.”
“It would be possible to describe everything scientifically, but it would make no sense; it would be without meaning, as if you described a Beethoven symphony as a variation of wave pressure.”
I will admit that I have a wonderful fascination with the new TV series, Hannibal.
And it is mostly due to this lovely Danish actor, Mads Mikkelsen. He honors the character of Hannibal and his portrayal is nothing short of delicious.
